Four notable appointments were unveiled recently amid efforts to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of food systems in Africa to improve livelihoods and food security.

The Rwanda-born research scientist became the first African woman CEO of the Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR-ICRAF).
